My Story…
I'm in my second year volunteering as a board member with CanLearn Society, and still learning about the amazing work the organization does to support learners in and around Calgary.
There are two areas that stand out for me so far:
- CanLearn helps families navigate the learning challenges that go along with autism and ADHD. CanLearn provided much-needed help to my family many years ago. I want to help make sure these resources continue to be available to other families.
- CanLearn offers literacy programs for preschoolers, struggling early readers and adults. Almost half of Canadian adults read below a high school level.
