Why I’m fundraising for Special Olympics

My name is Alicia, and I am the founder of She³ in Sydney, a community for Chinese mums living on Sydney’s Upper North Shore. When I moved from Melbourne to Sydney in August 2024, I didn’t know many people in the area. To connect with local mums, I started organising community walks, coffee meetups, and sharing events. What began as a simple way to make friends quickly grew into a supportive community. For the past 18 months, I have been organising weekly walks, bringing mums together to stay active, connect, and support one another. In March 2026, I also started a tennis learning group for Chinese mums on the Upper North Shore. Today, more than 40 mums regularly join us to learn and play tennis together. I believe that as mums, taking care of ourselves is one of the best gifts we can give to our families. Through walking, tennis, and community connection, I hope to encourage more mums to make time for their own health and wellbeing. She Plays. She Connects. She Grows. We love UNS.

Description

I’m taking part in the Special Olympics Kuringgai Chase Fun Run 2026 to help raise funds for Special Olympics athletes and programs in our community.

Every donation helps create more opportunities for people with an intellectual disability to participate in sport, build confidence, make friends and be part of an inclusive community.

Thank you for supporting my fundraising page and helping make a difference.
