My Story…
Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with the YWCA Evanston/North Shore, and I’ve been truly inspired by the dedication of every staff member to their clients and community. Their commitment is real, it’s powerful, and it’s been meaningful for me to witness firsthand.
This year, I’m participating in the Ricky Byrdsong Memorial Race Against Hate — an event that brings thousands of people together to stand against racism and support the YWCA’s mission to eliminate racism and empower women. I’m hoping to raise $500 in support of this important work, and I’d be grateful for any contribution you’re able to make.

Description
The Ricky Byrdsong Memorial Race Against Hate is the largest racial justice run/walk event of its kind in the nation. Every year, thousands of people from all over Chicagoland and the country come together to honor the legacy of Ricky Byrdsong and to run and walk in unity against racial hatred and violence. All proceeds from the Race support YWCA Evanston/North Shore's mission, including their violence prevention and racial equity programs.
