My Story…
I am a proud board member of the YWCA Evanston/North Shore. Our mission is to empower women and eliminate racism, a mission that is even more important now. My commitment to these issues is informed by my years working as a civil rights lawyer and my current work teaching law students. The Race Against Hate brings our North Shore communities together in a public declaration against racial hatred and violence. Please join me in supporting this message and the work of the YWCA Evanston/North Shore.

Description
The Ricky Byrdsong Memorial Race Against Hate is the largest racial justice run/walk event of its kind in the nation. Every year, thousands of people from all over Chicagoland and the country come together to honor the legacy of Ricky Byrdsong and to run and walk in unity against racial hatred and violence. All proceeds from the Race support YWCA Evanston/North Shore's mission, including their violence prevention and racial equity programs.
