In 2023, my sweet friend Paige was diagnosed with colon cancer beginning a long and difficult journey that no one should ever have to face. She met every appointment, every scan, and every hard conversation with a strength and grace that left everyone around her in awe.

I had the privilege of sitting beside her for many of those months — in waiting rooms, hospital halls, and on countless car rides to appointments that became part of our weekly routine. In those hours together, I got to know Paige on an even deeper level and saw just how incredibly strong, funny, kind, and beautiful she truly was, inside and out.

On October 3, 2025, at the age of 32, her body grew tired and Paige heartbreakingly passed away, leaving a space in this world that can never be filled. Although this is not the ending any of us imagined, her spirit, her laughter, and her stubborn fight live on in everyone who loved her.

Before Paige passed, I made a promise: that her fight would not be in vain, and that as long as I am here, I will keep speaking her name and raising awareness and funds for colon cancer. This fundraiser is one way of keeping that promise and turning grief into action. 

Every dollar raised will support the mission to increase colon cancer screening, fund patient supports, and contribute to research that can save lives, so that fewer families have to sit in those same waiting rooms.
