My life before cancer was busy and full — I’m a wife and mom to two amazing kids, Elias and Lauren, balancing family and a full-time career. Looking back, what I thought was perimenopause symptoms were actually early warning signs. In January 2025, after weeks of worsening symptoms, I was hospitalized and diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer that had already spread to my liver and lungs. Chemotherapy and surgery initially gave us hope, shrinking tumors and removing cancer from my colon and liver. But just six months later, eight new tumors appeared in my liver. Today, I continue treatment and am so grateful for the care I’m receiving. This journey brings emotional and physical challenges, and any support — whether a donation, a share, or kind thoughts — means more than words .
