Blue Ridge Humane Society

For over 75 years, Blue Ridge Humane Society (BRHS) has been dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of life for animals in Henderson County and surrounding communities through adoption, outreach and education. Their Adoption Center originates that lifelong bond between pets and their owners, taking time to counsel prospective adopters and ensuring every animal goes home with the appropriate vaccinations, a microchip and are spayed or neutered. 

BRHS provides ongoing behavioral support and is committed to finding lifelong homes for every pet. Their Community Support team provides wrap-around holistic care to help keep pets and their owners together through pet food giveaways, low-cost vaccine clinics, emergency vet assistance, pet loss support and more. 

BRHS offers a free pet helpline at (828) 393-5832 to assist with any pet-related issue whether it's litter box training, housing assistance or a lost or found pet. They also operate an upscale Thrift Store, which offers high quality merchandise and provides critical funding to support the organization's mission.
