Rescuing our dog, French Fry, opened my eyes to just how many animals are in shelters waiting for help. Since joining the SPCA of Texas development team, I’ve seen firsthand the cruelty and neglect animals face. In just the first month of this year alone, I’ve witnessed cases involving starving horses, dogs rescued from an unsafe breeding situation, and more than 20 dogs removed from an overwhelmed caregiver living in heartbreaking conditions. That’s why I’m walking in Strutt Your Mutt – The Walk to End Animal Cruelty.
