Thank you for coming to my fundraising page! This is my first full marathon, and I am extremely excited to be running it in support of Queerspace Collective. Sharing some more important information below so you can better understand the impact your donation would have ❤️

Nearly 50% of LGBTQ+ youth, particularly those identifying as bi+, intentionally conceal their identity in daily life.

50% of LGBTQ+ young people who wanted mental health care in the past year were not able to get it.

39% of LGBTQ+ young people seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year, with 12% actually attempting.

These statistics share the unfortunate reality that we are still living in a world where queer people, especially youth, are misunderstood, mistreated, or simply do not have the resources to set them up for success.

QUEERSPACE Collective's mission is to create space for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth to feel safe and empowered to be their true selves. To achieve this, QC offers 1:1 youth mentorship, inclusivity training, group programming, and a dedicated 2SLGBTQIA+ youth center in Minneapolis. Not only are they changing lives, but they are saving lives by doing this.

Help me help them, as they continue their efforts towards their 2024-2026 Strategic Plan -- including, but not limited to:

- Performing community needs assessments to guide program evolution and maintain relevance. 

- The launch of a comprehensive digital platform for accessible remote learning and support.

-Expanding QUEERSPACE's reach ensuring LGBTQ+ youth have broader access to programs, prioritizing LGBTQ+ youth with multiple marginalized identities and those from rural communities.
