My Story…
I started my running journey during COVID because all the gyms were closed. Life got busy, I went back to the gym to lift again. Then I got married and pregnant. During this time, I lost my dad. My dad allows found peace in walking outside. During COVID, he loved to walk his neighborhood, connect with people, and exercising. Before he died, he would go on walks everyday to reset his mind. It was a peaceful time for him to let go of everything he was dealing with, and find comfortable in walking.
After he died, I found that same peace in running. Being outside and running has brought peace in the emptyness that is there without my dad. I am running this half marathon in honor of him.
It would mean so much to me to support Twin Cities in Motion and all the incredible work they do!
