My Story…
I’m running the Twin Cities 10 Mile this year with Team USO! I’ve been running half marathons for a little while now and already wanted to do this race, so when I saw the chance to run it for a cause through an Soldier Family Readiness Group (SFRG) email it felt like the perfect fit. My boyfriend Tyler is in the Minnesota Army National Guard with the 34 Infantry Division also known as the Red Bulls, and while he hasn’t deployed yet, that time will likely come sooner rather than later. Between getting involved with the SFRG and hearing more and more stories from my grandpa who served in Vietnam with the 82nd Airborne, supporting service members and their families has started to mean a lot more to me. I’m excited to run for something bigger than myself and help support programs that take care of them along the way.
If you’d like to support the cause, any donation—big or small—means a lot!!
