Help Maria raise money

Hi!

So here is my little tale to go along with my fundraising efforts and reason for running...

About 40 years ago in October of 1986, my mother was very pregnant with her third child (me!) and my father was very ambitious or foolish?! (running a marathon with 2 little kids and a very pregnant wife).

He was running the Twins Cities Marathon and my very pregnant mother went out to cheer him on. Apparently it was quite a chilly autumn day and after completing the running marathon, my mother said she felt her own marathon coming on. 

She says she remembers going into labor not long after watching him cross the finish line...or so the story goes.

Anyway, here we are 40 years later and half my life is over (hopefully not! lol) and to honor and symbolize this miles stone of my life, I am running the Twin Cities half marathon. 

Even though 40 is considered "over the hill", I am convinced and working toward a very long and healthy life. The race will hopefully be a fun and joyous day...but as we all know, it is really about the journey.

I am grateful for each of you on mine.

Also, fundraising is a requirement. LOL
