My Story…
I am so excited the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota is now a charity partner of TC in Motion!
As Executive Director of EFMN, I have the privilege of working every day alongside individuals and families impacted by epilepsy. What continues to inspire me is the endurance and resilience I see in our community, qualities that feel especially fitting as I begin marathon training.
This run is about more than 26.2 miles. It’s about building awareness. Why?
Because...
- 1 in 26 people will develop epilepsy in their lifetime, and
- 1 in 10 people will experience a seizure.
And every single person who does, deserves to live in safe and inclusive communities where they can live their best lives.
Through this journey, I’ll be fundraising to support EFMN’s work. Our mission is focused on empowering people impacted by epilepsy through support, education, advocacy, and connection so that no one faces epilepsy alone.
I see every day how EFMN provides meaningful and impactful support. One community member shared how EFMN has changed her life. “Being part of the EFMN community has given me a reason to work on bettering myself rather than just feel like I am merely surviving—I am actually thriving.”
I hope you’ll follow along, cheer loudly, and, if you’re able, consider supporting Team EFMN.
