My Story…
The Twin Cities 10 Miler was my first race of over a 10K back in 2006. My Sister convinced me to give it a try, and she got me hooked on running. Soon after she talked me into my 1st 1/2 marathon, and then a full marathon. 20 years later, and 70 marathons under my belt, I'm now going back to the race that started the journey.
I'm raising money for my favorite Non-Profit, the Forest Lake Area Good Samaritans, that my wife Sonja and I founded nearly 10 years ago. Our mission is to promote random acts of kindness, and ask that the recipient "Pays it Forward" creating a ripple effect of kindness throughout the community, country, and world.
The money we raise goes back into the community through service projects. We may fix a fence, paint a garage, clean up yards for the elderly, fix someone's car, or even fix up a car and give it away. (29 so far). We also offer scholarships for our next generation of "Good Samaritans" who give back to their community. We also have partnered with Community Helping Hand in Forest Lake to assist people with financial hardships. Please consider donating even a small amount as we strive to make the world a kinder place.
Donate to help Michael raise money for 2026 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend’s fundraising campaign.
