My Story…
Hi!! My name is Sonnie, and this fall I'll be running the Twin Cities Marathon to support the Minnesota Epilepsy Foundation.
This cause is very personal to me. When my niece was born, she was diagnosed with a SCN2A gene mutation that caused infantile epilepsy. Watching my sister's family navigate the uncertainty and seizures gave me a firsthand look at the challenges that families affected by epilepsy face every day. Today, we're incredibly grateful that my niece has been seizure-free for six years, but not every family has that outcome.
I'm running to raise awareness, provide support, and help fund resources and research that make a difference for individuals and families living with epilepsy. Every donation, no matter the size, helps the Minnesota Epilepsy Foundation continue its mission of education, advocacy, and support for those impacted by epilepsy.
Thank you for supporting my marathon journey and supporting a great cause!!!
