My Story…
Hi there! This is Kae/Katie (depending on how you know me), and I'm running my first-ever marathon!!
Last year, I ran the 10-miler, and I guess I just can't stop running so now I'm going for the whole 9 yards (26.2 miles to be exact).
I'm thrilled to be running for Team QUEERSPACE collective again. As a staff member and fellow Queer, this organization is near and dear to my heart in all the ways.
The work of protecting and empowering Queer and Trans youth is deeply meaningful yet difficult under this current administration. We see increased attacks on Trans rights and lives and sobering statistics on the mental health crisis of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth.
Queer and Trans youth deserve to be safe, but they deserve more than survival.
QUEERSPACE collective was founded on the radical belief that everyone deserves to show up as their authentic self. We create space for 2SLGBTQIA+ young people to be safe, seen, and celebrated through 1:1 mentorship, group workshops, drop-in youth center, inclusivity training, and now a first-of-its-kind virtual mentorship app available across the U.S.! We’re not just creating safe spaces, we’re transforming the interpersonal, community, and systemic structures that shape Queer and Trans lives.
Doing this work obviously requires money, so here's my big ask: Help me raise $500.
A donation of any amount is appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this and support my cause. I'll see you at the finish line!
Donate to help Katie raise money for 2026 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend’s fundraising campaign.
