My Story…

Running for Recovery: My Twin Cities 10-Mile Journey

Last October, my life took an unexpected turn when I experienced a severe epileptic seizure at the Mall of America. Thanks to proper medical care, effective medication, and continuous support, I have been seizure-free ever since.

Regaining my health allowed me to return to high-level training, cross the finish line at Grandma's Marathon in under four hours this past June, and keep pushing my limits both as a runner and as a therapist here in Minnesota.

Now, I am lacing up to run the Twin Cities 10-Mile alongside 10,000 other runners as part of the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota (EFMN) team!

Living with epilepsy has taught me that recovery is a shared journey, and no one should have to navigate it alone. I am running to raise awareness, support vital community resources, and show that a diagnosis doesn't have to define your potential.

Thank you for supporting my run and contributing to EFMN's incredible mission!
