My Story…
This August, I am jumping back into the frigid waters of Lake Superior to swim 2.1 miles from Bayfield, Wisconsin to the town of La Pointe on Madeline Island. I competed in this event in 2024 and, when I was there last year as a spectator, knew that I needed to swim it again. I’m training hard and plan to beat my 2024 record, but I need a little help from you.
The Point to La Pointe (P2LP) Open Water Swim is the largest fundraiser for the Bayfield Rec Center and the funds raised directly support the facility's operations, allowing it to offer affordable and accessible options for health and fitness. Your donation, no matter the size, helps provide scholarships to families and individuals who otherwise might not have access. Swimming has always been a big part of my life and I think everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim.
