My Story…
As distance-runner-turned-swimmer, I set a new year's resolution to myself in 2017 to push myself out of my comfort zone by joining a Masters swim team. I quickly caught the swimming bug and never looked back. It took the restrictions of a global pandemic to get me out of the pool chasing the black line to facing my "big fear" of open water swimming in 2020. Venturing into the unknown of open water swimming in Milwaukee introduced me to the most wonderful community of the Klode Swim Kru, which in turn introduced me to Point to La Pointe. Point to La Pointe was my first open water "event", and the spirit, community and beauty of the event is unmatched. It's an honor to support the Bayfield Rec center and the generosity of the Bayfield community by fundraising for my 5th year swimming P2LP!
