My Story…
You know how much I love swimming the Point To LaPointe!
This year I chose the fundraising option, not only to give back to the Bayfield Rec. Center, but to secure my place in the race! There are about 2500 swimmers hoping for one of the 650 slots! 2026 will be my 9th time registering.
Here's why I totally support the Bayfield Rec. Center and why I think you would too:
* They are a non-profit organization providing affordable programs, classes and events that promote healthful, fun and active lifestyles.
* Their programs, activities and events provide much needed economic support to Bayfield and the surrounding communities.
* Fundraising events allow them to maintain operations and provide financial scholarships to those who otherwise would not have access
* Their 25 meter pool is the only one publicly available within a 70 mile radius which provides a training venue for Fire and EMS Services, The National Park Service, kayak outfitters who keep their staff trained, lifeguarding and rescue readiness...and More!
* They Host The Point To LaPointe race.
* They are the heartbeat of Bayfield and surrounding communities.
* I feel great giving back to the organization!
