My Story…
This one is for my mom who taught me to swim and love the water. Marj learned to swim in Walden pond, a very different kind of water from Lake Superior! She introduced me to the joy of swimming at our neighborhood lake by paddling near shore with me clinging to her back as a toddler. She drove me to swim lessons, then to swim team at our local YMCA, and supported me all through high school swim team.
I'm swimming to honor her lifelong love of aquatic activities, and in memory of her creative life. Her spirit lives in me, and will cheer me on across the bay!
