My Story…
Hey all! Its me, Jeff— a competitive endurance athlete who is gearing up for something different this summer on August 1st: The Point to La Pointe swim race, a 2.1 mile swim from Bayfield to Madeline Island on beautiful Lake Superior. I grew up a competitive swimmer and swimming continues to be a big part of my life-whether in the pool, lake, or with a scuba tank on my back! This swim celebrates a victory lap as it will be my last race before embarking upon 3 years of CRNA school.
The Point to La Pointe stretches beyond just a physical and mental challenge. It supports the Bayfield Rec Center, which provides year-round, often free or subsidized access to recreational programs — including learn-to-swim and sailing — for people of all ages in the Chequamegon Bay area. I am passionate about expanding access to water safety, confidence, and recreation.
