My Story…
In October 2020, I sat in a doctor's office and listened to him tell me that I had stage 4 colon cancer with innumerable metastasis to the liver. I didn't really have any big symptoms, so this was devasting news.
CCRAN has made a big difference in supporting me throughout my cancer experience. On Sunday May 31st, 2026, I will be participating in a 5km walk to raise funds, awareness and community support for this organization.
Colorectal cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers affecting people today. It is the 2nd leading cause of cancer related deaths in Canada, but it doesn't have to be. Colorectal cancer is 90% preventable, treatable, and beatable.
