The GeelongPort Family Ride is a free, fun-filled event for kids, parents, and beginners. Held on a closed 2km circuit along the Geelong waterfront, it’s a safe and exciting way to get involved in the race weekend.
Riders pass under the same finish gantry as the elite races, cheered on by crowds and surrounded by the festival atmosphere. With balance bikes, training wheels, and big smiles, this ride is all about joy, movement, and making memories.

Format: Free Recreational Family Ride (Registration required)
Course: 2km closed road circuit
Bike Requirements: Whether it’s on balance bikes, training wheel bikes or other kid-friendly modes of transport, this event is for all ages and abilities! (eBikes not permitted)
Minimum Age: The minimum age for a rider is 3 years on event day (riding under their own power). Passengers can be younger than 3 years of age, and the adult who is riding needs to register.
