My Story…
Bowen Island is located a ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay, our new neighborhood. Those from Bowen who are diagnosed with cancer have to travel into Vancouver (and usually stay overnight, sometimes for many days). The Bowen Island Cancer Care Fund helps people with unexpected expenses during this difficult time.
Open water swimming has now become a wonderful addition to the activities that we like to do. It is nice to be able to undertake this 750m swim and raise money for a worthy cause at the same time.
