Our story…

Welcome to our fundraising page 💜 This year will be the 5th summer our family is participating in Swim Bowen, and Iona’s first year jumping in to swim alongside her 2 big sisters in the 750 m event 🤩 As a Nurse Practitioner on a remote island, I see firsthand the impact of a community wrapping around its members who are undergoing cancer treatment… the financial supports raised by Swim Bowen ensure that costs associated with accessing treatment off island aren’t added to the long list of stressors these community members face. We love to swim…. but even more, we love being a small part of such a wonderful event fostering compassion, connection, and community resilience. Thanks for reading this far, and thanks for helping us raise funds for this very worthy cause!
