  • Funded 6 innovative research projects—from anti-rejection therapies that improve islet cell transplants, to beta cell regeneration that could restore the body’s ability to produce insulin.
  • Created 4 graduate studentships in diabetes research, helping train the next generation of scientists committed to changing the future of diabetes care.
  • Supported multiple clinical trials testing new treatments and prevention strategies that are already showing promise for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

What Your Support Has Made Possible (after the "Supported multiple cinical trials bullet")


As part of our care initiatives, we are proud to support two amazing projects in collaboration with other organizations. The first is the Calgary Diabetes Mobile Clinic (DMC), a sophisticated, 'one-stop' medical hub.  


In addition, we are supporting Linking First Nations Diabetes Care (LINK), a full-service virtual clinic designed to provide specialized care to remote Indigenous communities.
