My Story…
In December of 2022, I was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer, stage four. There is, as yet, no cure from this disease but, with the latest treatments and the superlative care I’ve received from various healthcare organizations in the Ottawa and surrounding areas, I’m able to paddle dragon boat, play bass in a couple of blues-rock bands, and experience the joy of watching our three granddaughters grow up happy and healthy. This is my 24th year of dragon boating, my 22nd appearance at the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival, and my third year with the “Great Big C” men’s cancer survivor team.
