My Story…

As some of you may know, I lost both my parents to cancer by the time I was 32 years old. My mom had a long 3 year battle with cancer and my dad had a short 3 month battle. When my best friend asked me to sign up for this run with her I knew I had to participate. To be able to raise money for both cancer research and care for cancer patients is a privilege.

This will be my first ever 5K race, and before a few weeks ago I don't think I've ever run 5 km in my entire life. I'm running with my parents fire in my heart and my kids cheers from the sidelines 💜
