My Story…
First off, thank you for visiting this page and thank you for whatever you can do to support this cause. Now the story and inspiration,
In 2010 Brian Pinksen, Justin Eddison and myself embarked on TF 1-10 of Op Athena in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan with 2 RCR.
On August 30th, 2010 I received the crippling news that Brian had succumb to his injuries while being treated at a hospital in Germany after being struck by an IED in Panjwai.
Brian was the embodiment of what it meant to be a soldier in both physical discipline and adherence to military ethos.
In 2020, on the 10th anniversary of Brian's passing, Justin brought this amazing initiative to my attention.
This will be my 6th year participating in the Commanders Challenge(half marathon + 10km+ 5 km) and 4th year of running a full Marathon distance in honor of Brian and to support the members of the CAF.
This fundraiser goes toward CAF soldiers, via Support our Troops and Soldier On.
