My Story… In September 2026, I will take part in the Canada Army Run, walking the 5K. This is not just another event for me. It is personal. During my 20 years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces, I went through three knee surgeries and one major back surgery. Like many who have served, the wear and tear did not end when the uniform came off. There was a time when even the idea of participating in something like this would have felt out of reach. Today, I choose to show up. E Tenebris Lux... from the shadows to the spotlight. As a former member of the Intelligence Branch and the first selected as a Contact Handler, I learned early that some of the most important work is done quietly, often unseen. This walk reflects that same principle. It is not about speed. It is about moving forward with purpose. My Intelligence Operator number was 431. In that spirit, I have set a goal to raise $431 for this event, a simple, meaningful target that represents where the journey began.
