Please note that you will cross an international border between two countries during the race. You do not have to stop at the border while running, but you must have a passport or other travel documentation valid for travel in Canada and the USA in order to register. These will be reviewed by border agents at the international bridge on the two days before the race. 10k participants do not cross the international border. The 10k is entirely within the USA.

As an international event, we have two registration sites. This is the USA site. The Canadian site is identical, except that it accepts payment in Canadian dollars not US dollars. If you are a USA national or a resident of the USA you should register on this site. If you are a Canadian citizen or a Canadian resident you should register on the Canadian site. Runners from other countries may register on either site.

Charity Bib Program

Charity Bibs are available in limited quantity and provide an additional pathway into the Marathon or Half Marathon (once general registration is full or nearing capacity). In exchange, participants commit to raising a minimum of $250 for one of our community beneficiaries. Charity Bibs are available on the Canadian Race Roster site too.

Runners who would like to raise money by donating or setting up a fundraiser for charity are encouraged to support our charities.

Borders and Passports

Runners in the marathon and half-marathon cross the Canada-USA border multiple times. In order to be pre-cleared with the border agencies, we need you to provide your passport or other travel document information now. In June you will have to show these documents at both the Canada and USA border crossings in Lubec and Campobello when you pick up your race bib. You will then be waved through the border crossings in the runner lane during the event and will not have to stop.

You will be required to show photo-ID at bib pick-up so we can be sure you are getting the right bib.

Refunds
This is event follows the running industry standard of no refunds. Participants may purchase registration refund insurance through the registration process or two weeks after registration is complete through Race Roster. Learn More here.

Deferrals
This event is proud to offer deferrals for any reason up until May 1st, 11:59pm ET. Deferrals are defined as transfering your entry from the current year to next year only. Participants can request a deferral by email to info@bayoffundymarathon.com. Participants are responsible for any change in fees from one year to the next and are responsible for requesting next years entry by January 31, 2027.

Transfers
This event allows transfers from one participant to another participant and upgrades/downgrades in event distance.

Transfers to another participant can be done through your race roster account until May 1st, 2026 at 11:59pm ET. There is a $5 processing fee.

Upgrade/Downgrade in distance in distance may be completed if capacity allows by email to us - info@bayoffundymarathon.com. Participants are responsible for the difference in registration prices. The deadline to complete this is June 19st at 11:59am ET. After May 1st, and up until race weekend you will be issued a generic bib. Meaning you will not receive a custom bib number with your name on it.

Please consider making a donation to the Bay of Fundy International Marathon Community Fund to "Pay it Forward" and support those who may not be able to afford the registration fee for the event.
