My Story…
February in Simcoe County be like:
• 8-foot snowbanks• Haven’t seen a sidewalk since November• Wind that is personally offensiveSo obviously… I signed up for my first ever ½ marathon ![]()
Week 1 of training is officially done, with 14 weeks to go, and I’m already questioning my life choices while also feeling weirdly proud.I’m running to raise money for Hospice Simcoe, an incredible local charity that provides compassionate palliative care and support for people living with life-limiting illness and those navigating grief after losing someone they love. They help improve quality of life, ease suffering, and walk alongside families during some of life’s hardest moments — long before and long after goodbye. My fundraising tiny but mighty goal is $250
If you’re able to donate or share, I’d be so grateful. If not, please just send sunshine, clear sidewalks, warm weather vibes… or a snowplow.
Here’s to snowy training, sore muscles, and doing hard things for good reasons ![]()
