Raise money for Jamii
Jamii, which means “community” in Swahili, is a Toronto arts organization celebrating 15 years of bringing people together through free arts programs, community events, and shared creative experiences.
Rooted in The Esplanade, Jamii creates welcoming spaces where children, youth, adults, and older adults can connect, create, and feel a sense of belonging. At the heart of this work is The Jamii Hub, a community space and third space for many people.
At a time when the cost of living is high and many people are feeling isolated or overwhelmed, spaces like The Jamii Hub are more important than ever. Your donation helps keep Jamii’s programs free and accessible, from youth leadership opportunities and older adult workshops to community gatherings, creative programs, and outdoor events.
Since 2011, Jamii has produced more than 400 arts events, facilitated more than 1,500 arts workshops, engaged over 5,000 people in creative processes, worked with more than 700 artists, and welcomed more than 30,000 audience members and 55,000 exhibition visitors.
