Help Jason raise money

On October 18, I'm running a marathon to raise funds for Matthew House Toronto, a home that welcomes refugee claimants when they arrive in this city with nowhere else to go. Matthew House gives them a bed, a community, and the practical support through housing help and legal orientation.

Every kilometer I run is a reminder of the distance some people have had to travel just to find safety. They've left everything familiar behind, their family and home, in search of peace and rest that we often too easily take for granted.

Most of our families have a similar story like this somewhere in them: having to leave home to start over in a new place, where they needed the support of others who believed in them before they had much to show for it.
