Our story…

Running through grief.

On July 31, 2026 my beautiful, smart, funny and supportive mom passed away suddenly.

My world shattered.

Aside from my amazing family and friends, running has been helping me work though my grief. Well, manage it. The grief will always live with me.

When I started running just over a year ago, my mom was one of my biggest supporters. She loved it. Encouraged me.

Last month I decided to sign up for the TCS marathon, along with my nephew. 42kms to honour her, and fundraise for the heart and stroke foundation, a cause that’s helping to solve for the health challenges connected to my family’s loss. Each km representing a year that I got to spend with my mom.
