Help us raise money

Annex Cat Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run registered charity dedicated to homeless cats living on Toronto's streets, and over 90% of the funds we raise go directly toward medical care for cats in need. We receive no government funding, and do not have an office or shelter. Instead, we operate entirely through a network of devoted volunteer rescuers, colony feeders, foster homes, adoption facilitators, community educators and coordinators.

Annex Cat Rescue (ACR) was founded in 1997 when several residents of the Annex neighbourhood in downtown Toronto joined together to care for a local feral cat colony. Since then, our service area - both for cats and volunteers - has grown to span the city.

We care for and rescue homeless cats and kittens by:

- Spaying/neutering, vaccinating and providing emergency medical care to community (feral) cats to reduce population growth and suffering

- Caring for managed feral cat colonies

- Humanely trapping cats & kittens that are tame or can be socialized for placement in our foster and adoption program

- Coaching, assisting and empowering community members concerned about homeless cats & kittens through our feral/stray support team

- Educating the public on the compassionate treatment of homeless cats and responsible pet ownership

Our work is only possible due to the generosity of our volunteers, supporters, and donors like you. Every dollar you donate makes a difference to a cat in need, and has a direct impact on the number of cats we can help each year. Thank you for your support!
