Our story…

Walker Healthforce employees across all of our offices nationwide are invited to participate in Against the Tide, a family-friendly, multi-sport, rain-or-shine event benefiting the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC). Because virtual participation is available, employees from anywhere in the country can get involved while supporting an important cause. This is also a great opportunity to participate alongside friends and family members.

Funds raised through Against the Tide help support and expand MBCC’s community education programs.

Participants can walk, run, or swim. In-person events will take place in Hopkinton, MA, on June 20 and Brewster, MA, on June 27. Employees may also choose to participate virtually anytime between June 20–27, making it easy for everyone to join from wherever they are.

Breast cancer prevention and early detection save lives. All registered runners and swimmers will receive an online time submission link. Participants may complete their event anytime during the virtual event week and submit their time online. Walkers are not required to submit a time. Runners and swimmers are also asked to provide proof of time, such as a photo of a GPS watch screen or a screenshot from a smartphone running app showing distance and time. Results will be scored, and award certificates will be emailed to participants.

Whether you participate competitively or simply join to show support, every effort helps move the mission forward. Together, we can promote prevention, support advocacy and research, and help create a healthier future for all.
