Raise money for Lake Tekapo Community Sports and Recreation Trust
In 2022, a group of Lake Tekapo residents established the Lake Tekapo Community Sports and Recreation Trust to drive the establishment of an indoor sports facility that serves the community now and into the future. The facility will accommodate the Tekapo Squash & Racket Club, which currently operates from a council-owned building unsuitable for long-term use. The Trust has since signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mackenzie District Council, allowing the facility to be built on land next to the existing community hall on Aorangi Crescent. Concept designs have been drawn up and the project now enters the fundraising stage. We sincerely thank Race Tekapo for their support.
