My Story…
I’m running my first marathon this October in Victoria in memory of my Dad, who passed away in 2022.
He’s the reason I got into endurance sports and what started as a way to cope has become something so meaningful. Running is my mental escape, every step I take is for him. I know he would be so proud and would want to be there doing it with me. I feel connected to him while running and I know he is up there watching me.
He loved being active: skiing, hiking, mountain biking, running. He was incredibly fit, and his passion for the outdoors is something I carry with me every day. He will forever be my inspiration.
I am raising money for the BC Cancer Foundation, I want to help the many other families going through the same thing for better treatment and more research.
