My Story…
Running has been one of my greatest teachers. As a marathon runner, nutritionist, and yoga instructor, movement has never been just about performance—it’s been a way to regulate my nervous system, process emotion, and rebuild trust in my body.
As a teenager, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, and for years, my body felt unpredictable and unsafe. Running became an outlet, yoga taught me how to slow down and listen, and nutrition gave my body the foundation it needed to heal. It was the combination of these tools—alongside modern medicine—that allowed me to manage Crohn’s both physically and mentally.
Today, I’m happily and gratefully in remission for over 15 years. That’s why the Whistler Half Marathon feels so aligned with my values: it represents resilience, balance, and using movement as a tool for healing. My work is rooted in this lived experience; helping others feel supported, capable, and at home in their bodies.
That’s the ripple effect.
