Raise money for Ronald McDonald House British Columbia & Yukon
In 1983, Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon opened its doors in Shaughnessy. The original 13-bedroom House provided support for families who needed to travel long distances to access specialized care in Vancouver, making it possible for them to stay together during some of their hardest moments.
Over time, the need for this care grew well beyond what the original House could provide. Today, the Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver has expanded to 73 bedrooms, with additional services designed to support families as they stay close to their child throughout treatment. Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon also operates Family Rooms in Surrey, Kamloops, and Prince George, bringing care directly into hospital settings.
When family stays, children and parents face each day with greater strength, connection, and support. Ronald McDonald House is built on the belief that staying together is an essential part of a child’s care, creating space for families to remain present, connected, and supported throughout their journey.
The House in Vancouver sits on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples: Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
