My Story…
Running 100km+ to raise $1,000+ for The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).
After running Sun Burn Solstice last year, I realized something a little strange:
while running 80km is a lot (and probably not something a normal person should do) nothing else has given me the same feeling of accomplishment. Nothing else has given me so much to reflect on, or taught me so much about myself.
There’s a moment in these runs when you’re so deep that quitting isn’t an option. Where giving up would almost feel offensive. And then there’s the finish line, when everything you’ve been holding back finally spills out all at once.
I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since.
This time, I’m aiming for 100km+, and I’m using the run to raise $1,000+ for The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). If this run is about pushing limits, the fundraising is about making that effort mean something beyond just me.
