The Carcoar Cup is a truly iconic event on the Australian Running Calendar. It has been awarded Community Event of the Year in 2011, NSW Regional Flagship Event 2014, 2015, 2016, and NSW Flagship event for 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020. It achieved ten years of running in 2022.

Nestled in the historic village of Carcoar, this iconic event offers something for every level of runner, from the scenic 6km run to the challenging marathon.

Beyond the challenge of the course lies the warmth of the Carcoar community, where spectators and volunteers alike cheer you on every step of the way.

All event finishers will receive a themed medal, post-race snacks, sponsor giveaways, and a finisher certificate.

Teams Marathon - Team Captain

  • Join the Carcoar Cup Teams Marathon as the teams captain. You will pay for all your team mates here and will be given an access code to distribute to your team members to sign up. The Marathon course has been easily divided into four separate sections for the teams event. The sections vary slightly in distance and difficulty, so allowing for teams combining various strengths, older and younger, and disabled contestants. SECTIONS: 10kms, 12.5kms, 8.5kms and 11kms. This makes for a perfect teams event! Any combination of four runners with each runner will tackle ONE SECTION of the course.

  • The Marathon course has been easily divided into four separate sections for the teams event. Transfers

1.1. It is possible to transfer your entry to a friend or family member up to 3 days before the event date. Please use the ‘Name or Distance Transfer’ link on Race Roster or get in touch with info@racehubaustralia.com with your name and ‘Bib Transfer’ in the subject line.

1.2. It is possible for a participant to change event distances up to 3 days before the event date. No refunds for a downgrade in course distance will be made. Course upgrades will incur the difference in entry fee. Please get in touch with info@racehubaustralia.com with your name and ‘Event Transfer’ in the subject line.

1.3. A transfer between participants or a new event will cost a $15 administration fee.

1.4 Participant transfers are not available on the day of the event; you will be able to transfer to a shorter distance if required on event morning.

Refunds

2.1. For all events, entry fees are 75% refundable up to 6 weeks before the event, 50% up to 4-6 weeks before the event, and 25% between 2-4 weeks. No refunds will be given less than 2 weeks before the event. I understand that entry fees are non-refundable for non-starters and non-finishers up to 2 weeks before the event. No refunds will be provided for merchandise purchases made within 30 days of the event date.

2.2. No refunds will be given within 14 days of the event start date under any circumstances.

2.3. If a participant can no longer attend the second race of a race series and requests a refund, the value of the complimentary t-shirt ($30) and a $15 administration fee will be deducted from any refundable amount. If the participant prefers to transfer their second-race entry to a future event as race credit, only the $15 administration fee will apply. No t-shirt charge will be deducted when opting for a race credit.

Postponements / Cancellations

3.1. If the event has to be postponed or cancelled due to weather conditions, natural disaster, acts of god, terrorism, or any other reason so deemed by Race Hub Australia, all efforts will be made to reschedule the event. All entries will be automatically transferred over to the new date. If the event is rescheduled and you are unable to make the new date, no refunds will be given. You will have the option to transfer your entry to the following year’s event.

3.2. Where an event can not be rescheduled, committed contractors will be paid, and remaining funds will be offered as partial refunds or donated to charity. Where an event is not fully cancelled or rescheduled, and the participant chooses not to race, they will not be entitled to a refund.

3.3. You will be notified of any postponements or cancellations by email, social media, and announcements will be made on the home page of this site. Please note that the event will not be postponed or cancelled due to rain. Race organisers will review the site conditions if required in the days before the event.
