Volunteers play a key role in the successful delivery of the Logan Fun Run Presented by Ray White AKG!
We encourage you to be involved on the event day, to be a part of a great event, learn new skills, make new friends and gain experience to take into your career.

*to be eligible you are required to volunteer for both the Logan Fun Run and Toohey Trail Run events (including the compulsory event days on Sunday)
Role Descriptions
Course Marshall
- Be positioned along the course to direct along the correct course.
- Manage pedestrians and supports along the course to ensure pedestrians to be careful and stick to the left where possible.
- Provide encouragement to runners as they compete.
Colour Crew
- Be positioned along the 2km course to distribute coloured powder on participants as they pass by.
- Manage pedestrians and supports along the course to ensure pedestrians to be careful and stick to the left where possible.
- Provide encouragement to runners as they compete.
Water Station Assistant
- Set up table and signage at water station location.
- Ensure runners have access to water throughout the race.
- Provide encouragement to runners as they compete.
Recovery Station Assistant
- Set up and manage the recovery station.
- Ensure runners have access to water and products at the recovery station at the end of their races.
- Ensure food hygiene requirements are being met.
Race Pack Collection/Event Precinct Assistant
- Distribute race packs, race numbers and pre-purchased merchandise to runners.
- Distribute team packs to team captains on behalf of all team members.
- Take on-the-day registrations and sell available merchandise.
- Answer general information questions as required.
- Direct runners to key areas within the event precinct.
- Assist other event precinct areas as required.
- Bag drop, recovery, presentations
- Answer race specific questions.
- Escalate difficult registration questions to the Registration Manager
Bag Drop Assistant/Event Precinct Assistant
- Collect bags from runners, attach a bag tag with the runners bib number & place bag on table allocated for race distance.
- Keep bags in a neat order to ease distribution.
- Assist other areas in event precinct as required.
Timing Marshall
- Assist with escorting runners to the start line for their correct race starts.
- Assist the timing contractor to confirm athlete bib numbers as they cross the line to determine place winners.
- Direct all runners crossing the finish line to the recovery area to ensure there is not a build up at the finish line.
- Cheer runners across the line to ensure they finish with their ‘runners high’.
- Ensure finished runners remove their bibs before moving to a position along the finish chute to cheer on friends and family.
