My Story…

Hi everyone, I'm Drew! I'm a PhD student, long walker, backpacker, transit enthusiast, and runner. I've been running for 12 years and I'm excited to say the 2026 Philly Marathon will be my first. I've always run because I love to challenge myself and be outdoors, not to mention how great it feels to see yourself improve so clearly. This year, I'm taking on 26.2 miles for all of those reasons and more.

I'm running for Point of Pride because they do work I believe is truly meaningful and incredibly important. I want to be able to support my trans siblings in their right to receive gender-affirming care because I know it changes lives for the better. I have been incredibly lucky to be able to access this care and want to contribute to others experiencing the same joy I have. Running with Point of Pride feels like a great way to support my community and I hope you'll donate to help support the cause and help remove barriers for trans people to live their best lives.
