My Story…
Hi! I’m Jon, a queer suburban dad, therapist and runner participating in the Philly Marathon to raise money for Point of Pride, an amazing organization that supports funding trans healthcare for folks experiencing financial insecurity.
Supporting the transgender community isn’t just something I believe in — it’s personal. Not only do I love sharing miles with transgender individuals in the running community, but I have the privilege of working with and alongside them every day. I have friends and family members who are trans, and standing by them all is important to me, especially right now.
Folks of the transgender community have always shown resilience, courage, and humanity, and standing along side them is inspiring and essential. Access to gender-affirming healthcare should not be a political issue — it is basic human rights. At a time when legislative attacks on trans healthcare are intensifying across the country, fundraising efforts to support these folks have never been more urgent or more meaningful. Providing support to cover the costs of hormone therapy, mental health support, or surgical care, (and more!) is a direct investment in someone’s ability to live authentically and thrive. I am proud to support these efforts and to stand alongside a community that deserves nothing less than full acceptance, protection, and care.
A gift of any size is appreciated and if you’re unable to donate right now I appreciate your taking the time to read this… and would ALSO appreciate any sharing of this page with others to help me reach my goal!
Donate to help Jonathan raise money for 2026 Philadelphia Marathon Weekend’s fundraising campaign.
