Help Crystal raise money

My name is Crystal, and I am running the Philadelphia Marathon in memory of my daughter, Rylee.
For many years, I participated in races to raise money for cancer research through organizations like the American Association for Cancer Research. At the time, I never imagined that cancer would become such a personal part of my family’s story.
Rylee was diagnosed with cancer as a child and spent five years fighting with a courage that inspired everyone around her. She endured countless hospital stays, treatments, surgeries, scans, and setbacks, yet somehow continued to smile, laugh, and find joy in life. In 2024, after a hard-fought battle, we lost Rylee.
Ironically, Rylee was never much of a runner. But as I prepare to run in the 8K, I am reminded that what she endured was far more difficult than any race. While runners train for months to reach a finish line, Rylee faced challenges every single day for five years. She showed a level of strength, perseverance, and determination that I can only hope to carry with me throughout this race.
Today, I have the privilege of organizing and participating in this marathon team through Rylee's Legacy Foundation. Our mission is to fund critical research and raise awareness for cancer predisposition syndromes such as Li-Fraumeni Syndrome, helping families facing the same challenges that ours did.
Every mile I run is for Rylee. Every dollar raised honors her legacy and helps advance research that can change the future for children and families affected by cancer.
