Help Daniel raise money

Hello! My name is Dan, for those of you who don’t know me, and I will be running the Philadelphia Marathon in 2026 for the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) team. 

Working in healthcare I have seen countless patients/family members with the misfortune of having been diagnosed with cancer, and have seen first hand the advances made for certain types of cancers over my relatively short career (9 years and going). The most important thing we can do to halt the progression of this horrible disease is to fund the research to work toward cures for any and all types of cancers.

Like many of us I have been personally affected by cancer through the diagnosis of both my mother (ovarian), stepfather (lung), and many other family members (aunts/uncles), friends etc. I, myself, am also vested in cancer research as a BRCA positive patient, so this is a cause I deeply believe in. The advances in cancer care saved my mom’s life and I am proud to say she is 3 years cancer free!  This would not have been possible even as short as 20 years ago, highlighting the importance of cancer research, advances in treatment, and the ever improving care plans we know today.
