My Story…
I’m running my first half marathon in Philadelphia as an ally and team member for Point of Pride! I love a good challenge, and running has taught me to show up for myself, whatever each run brings, and keep going. So when I had the opportunity to combine running and raising money to support the trans and non-binary community, it was a perfect fit!! Everyone deserves access to the care, support, and resources they need to live authentically, and I’m proud to put my miles toward those basic human rights.
Point of Pride is a trans-led nonprofit that provides financial aid and direct support for trans youth and adults to access life-changing and life-saving health and wellness care. Their programs range from the Annual Transgender Surgery Fund to Free Chest Binders, helping make gender-affirming care and resources more accessible. To date, Point of Pride has awarded more than $6 million across its financial aid programs and has served people in 129 countries. I love that their work is not only about removing barriers to care, but also about celebrating the resilience, beauty, and joy within the community they build.
